SOUTH EASTERN 4x4
GENERAL POLICY, CONDUCT & LIABILITY

this group is NOT about the
 business of encouraging sexual
 contact between members.

The purpose of the group is solely to connect gay and bisexual men that want to go off road trekking together.

WE HAVE A "NO SHOW YOU GO" RULE
All members must attend at least 2 meetings and/or trips during every six month period otherwise they may be requested to leave the Group.

The group provides a method for those of that own 4WD vehicles to have other gay/bisexual 4WD owners about the place to call on if they need company on a 4x4 outing.

There is no intention to formalise the group into a club with various rules, official trips/events and all the legal obligations that go with being a Club.

LIABILITY

This is NOT a club, it is just a group of people sharing a common interest.

There is no insurance and all members/guests are responsible for their own actions during all events associated with this group.

As a consequence of that, no liability or responsibility is expressed or implied  by the group to any members of the group.

You screw up, you are on your own insurance wise.

In order to maintain some security, new members will be asked to provide a telephone or mobile number so an existing member of the Group can contact them to verify details, prior to being allowed into the group.

Abuse, threats, offensiveness within the group messaging area or whilst on trips will not be tolerated and persons responsible for such activity will be  sanctioned as the moderators feel fit.

Trips are arranged on the basis of a member messaging the group advising them that he is planning a trip for a certain weekend and anyone is welcome to join.

As much detail of intended route including description of route difficulty if known, should be supplied to other members; common sense demands some information.

If during the outing anyone dislikes the choice of route, camping ground or bad driving or any other behavior they are free to make their own arrangements/ decisions on what to do for the rest of the day including what route to take.

Participants will be responsible for their own vehicle safety, insurance, protection, accommodation and food.

Although doing the right thing is encouraged there is no enforcement on the part of the group body of any road rules or 4x4 etiquette whatsoever, and this includes environmental factors,  vehicle safety, driver education, local/ government or government agency regulations.

As there is a wide range of experience and opinions within the group, inexperienced persons will be encouraged and guided in sensible vehicle handling.

Ultimately with the few exceptions above it will be the contacts who will decide for themselves how they  interact with each other and conduct trips
.
